Reality Bites
Will falls out of favour with Nicky when a childhood hero turns out to be a pain in the neck., Will takes his cousin Nicky to see his hero Dougie the Whale. But after brawling with Dougie, Will is tempted to tell Nicky that his hero is not real., Will gets in a brawl with a man costumed as Nicky’s hero, Dougie the Whale, & is tempted to tell Nicky that his hero isn’t real. Hilary parks in Leeza Gibbons’ spot & suffers the consequences., In a savage spoof of the “Barney the Dinosaur” craze, Will (Will Smith) takes little Nicky (Ross Bagley) to a kids’ concert so the youngster can meet his TV idol, Dougie the Whale. Unfortunately, the costumed actor (Monty Hoffman) playing Dougie is a surly jerk who hasn’t exactly got a handle on the characters’ perennially sunny, optimistic disposition. Confronting “Dougie” for his bad attitude, Will ends up punching the actor…thereby becoming “persona non grata” so far as Nicky is concerned. Meanwhile, it is Hilary (Karyn Parsons) vs. Leeza Gibbons over a highly coveted parking space., Will loses points as a role model for Nicky while visiting an ever-positive kiddie hero who brings joy to youngsters—but not to Will., Will loses points as a role model for Nicky (Ross Bagley) while visiting an ever-positive kiddie hero who brings joy to youngsters—but not to Will.
