Hank’s Contract
It is time for Hank to renew his contract, and he’s campaigning for a raise—and a golf cart. Guests: Robin Williams, George Foreman. Hank’s contract is up, and he’s threatening to leave the show if he doesn’t get what he wants from the network. For one thing, he wants a golf cart to drive around the studio. “How do you place a value on a man who introduces Wynonna Judd as ‘The Judd?'” asks Artie (Rip Torn), as he and Larry (Garry Shandling) joke about Hank’s threat to leave the show. Hank has Darlene (Linda Doucett) plan a “surprise” “going away” party for him, and Jerry (Jeremy Piven) and Phil (Wallace Langham) hire a stripper for the occasion, which turns out to be embarrassing for Hank. “Next year when we have the going away party,” suggests Larry, “let Artie and I take care of the stripper. We can probably find one who doesn’t know you.” Hank gets very upset, and lets them know he’s serious about taking another offer.
