The Monster of Venice

The Embalmer is all about a Venetian reprobate who’s a few cards shy of a full deck. He wanders the city in search of females to kidnap, murder and embalm. Since the “streets” of Venice are under water, he dons scuba gear while on the prowl for victims. A crusading newspaperman stops the embalmer before he can make the heroine “look natural.” The original Italian title of this tepid melodrama was Il Mostro di Venezia.
