Dahlia begins working as Hugh’s personal assistant, but his attitude seems a little too personal. Meanwhile, Dale learns that his father Earl had planned on leaving his patriarchal leadership of the clan to Wayne, not to him. Dale takes matters into his own hands before anyone else can learn that the succession wasn’t meant for him., The Malloys must contend with Ken from the Traveler camp, who shows up fully intending to marry Di Di. The thought of this revolts her, and his presence leads to a family crisis. At Panco, Hugh wants Dahlia to be his personal assistant, and he won’t let Wayne settle with snooty Hartley Underwood, who’s suing the company because her house sits on an alligator habitat, and a gator bit off her arm. Meanwhile, Dale makes his move back at camp.
