The result was one of their finest vehicles. They play paperhangers working in the Kingdom of Moronica. After overthrowing the king, evil cabinet ministers elect Moe Hailstone new ruler, naturally counting on his stupidity. Moe becomes Dictator (“Moronica must expand! We shall lend our neighbors a helping hand, we shall lend them two helping hands … and help ourselves to the neighbors!”); Larry is named Minister of Propaganda (Moe: ” What do you mean by reading a book? Loyal Moronicans shouldn’t read! Take your troops out and burn every book!”); and Curly becomes Field Marshall. A glamorous female spy (Lorna Gray aka Adrian Booth) gets in the way of governing and the Stooges are run out of the country by the mob. Their fate is especially gruesome: they are eaten by lions!
