After all, Max is probably the most frequent alien abductee ever to appear in the X-Files. This time, however, Max was carrying “something the government would kill for” when the plane on which he was traveling inexplicably crashed. The results of the agents’ investigation would not be revealed until the following week’s episode, “Max.” “Tempus Fugit” was written by Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz.
