The Trials of Lion-O Pt. 1
The ThunderCats struggle to reunite the species of Third Earth and defeat the evil Mumm-Ra. Following the Book of Omens, the ThunderCats reach a tall cliff where they are are ambushed by Slithe. Pushed by Kaynar and Addicus, Lion-O falls into the river and drowns. In the spirit world, Jaga tells him that he must pass a series of trials in order to return to the living. The first test is to steal a key from two spirits in the form of the Wily Twins, who confuse him by creating an infinite number of holograms. The second is a race through a labyrinth against a spirit disguised as Cheetara. Meanwhile, in the real world, the ThunderCats adoptTygra as their new leader., New! Generations of peace are destroyed, alongside the kingdom of Thundera, by the Lizard army and sorcerer Mumm-Ra. Now the Thundercats must find the Book of Omens to defeat him!, Part 1 of 2. A fatal fall takes Lion-O to the Astral Plane, where he learns he’ll have to fight for a second chance at life by facing off against his teammates.
