Heavy Metal War
Megatron plots to destroy Optimus Prime and his kind with the Constructions and Devastator, a unique Decepticon., Desirous of absorbing all of the Decepticons’ special powers, Megatron orders the newly created Constructicons to build a machine called Teletran One for this purpose. Once he has been endowed with the strength of his minions, Megatron has more than enough strength to defeat Optimus Prime in a duel. Though it was supposed to have been the final episode in Transformers’ inaugural season, “The Heavy Metal War” was seen in most U.S. markets on December 15, 1984, with “Fire On the Mountain” and “A Plague of Insecticons” shown out of chronological sequence during the next two weeks.
