Surrounded by more than 2,000 brown bears, their route starts at the near-apocalyptic conditions in the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes. The men have just 72 hours to reach the extraction landing zone 35 miles away on the wind-battered beach of Katmai Bay. First to break off from the pack is Iditarod champion Dallas Seavey and his brother, Tyrell, who choose to travel right down the middle of the most densely populated bear migration trails in the world. As they make their way through tall brush, the native Alaskan’s will have to figure out a way to stay clear of the danger because one wrong turn and they could be lunch. Expert climber, Willi Prittie, dog musher Brent Sass and survival expert Austin Manelick join together to plot a more conservative course. But tension rises as Brent challenges Willi’s desire to navigate a longer path around the bear highway, costing them more time and energy. Mountain man Marty Raney, his son Matt and survivalist Tyler Johnson, burn their map and blaze a path using only gut instinct and keen sense of direction. But that may not be as easy as they thought. For those that reach the LZ at the shores of Katmai Bay, a massive storm has moved in, and there is no plane waiting to extract them.
