Although it has some the usual cliched trappings of 1980s comedies — silly misunderstandings, disguise scenes, slapstick– Valley Girl remains a fresh and invigorating experience., A girl from the San Fernando valley falls for a Hollywood plunker, much to the dismay of her socially conscious friends.
