Wallander plays host to a Riga, Latvia, police major while investigating the murders of two Latvian men whose bodies were discovered in a raft that washed ashore in Sweden., After two Eastern European corpses are washed ashore on a raft in Ystad, Wallander travels to Latvia on the hunt for the killers. Thrown into a cold, alien world of police surveillance and lies, Wallander soon finds himself entangled in a web of corruption with no-one to trust., Wallander plays host to a Riga, Latvia, police major while investigating the murders of two Latvian men whose bodies were discovered in a raft that washed ashore in Sweden. When the major is killed after returning home, Wallander heads to Latvia to lend a hand in the case, and is soon immersed in a hunt for the major’s missing case files, which may document high-level corruption within the Riga police force.
