When Fay doesn’t get a raise, she decides to test Joe by going to work for Roy. Teresa: Laura Fabian. Joe: Timothy Daly. Brian: Steven Weber. Helen: Crystal Bernard., After graciously accepting Joe’s refusal to give her an expected raise, Fay (Rebecca Schull) angrily quits Sandpiper Air when she notices that the Hackett brothers are able to afford new leather flight jackets. As Fay goes to work for his rival Roy (David Schramm), Joe (Tim Daly) must resign himself to the fact that he can’t run Sandpiper without her. This episode includes a lengthy “origins” passage explaining how Joe and Fay came to work together in the first place.
