Boisterous nightclub entertainer Buzzy Bellew is witness to a murder committed by gangster Ten Grand Jackson. One night, two of Jackson’s thugs kill Buzzy and dump his body in the lake at Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Buzzy comes back as a ghost and summons his bookworm twin, Edwin Dingle, to Prospect Park so that he can help the police nail Jackson., In this film, Danny Kaye appears as timid librarian Edwin Dingle and Edwin’s extroverted twin brother, nightclub entertainer Buzzy Bellew. When Buzzy witnesses a gangland shooting, he himself is rubbed out. Before long, Edwin is visited by Buzzy’s ghost, who persuades his bookish brother to bring the mobsters to justice., Danny Kaye stars as a bookworm forced to impersonate his late twin, a slick entertainer bumped off by hoods.
