Family Ties
On leave from X-Factor, twin mutants Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver go to Balkans for one last meeting with their supposedly dying father. But before reaching their destination, the twins are forced to pay a visit to the idyllic monastic retreat of Wundagore. Here they learn that their mother had farmed them out for adoption, having been foretold that their father would ultimately do them great harm. Combining elements of “Shangri-La” and even Alexandre Dumas, Family Ties brought the 1995-96 season of X-Men to a thrilling conclusion., Quicksilver and his sister, the Avenger, seek revenge against Magneto when they learn he is responsible for their mother’s death.
