Using Jason Wyngarde as her stooge, Emma Frost threatens to gain full psychic control of Jean Grey, but meets formidable resistance from Professor X. Meanwhile, the Inner Circle Club has captured the rest of the X-Men. Their only hope for salvation rests with Jean, but she is still under the spell of her false lover Jason, thoroughly cutting off all-important psychic link between Jean and Scott. “Inner Circle” was the second chapter of X-Men’s “Dark Phoenix” saga., Jean is controlled by mutants in the Circle Club and they make her their queen, but Wolverine sets out to save her.
