Mavican tries to kill Xena to prove to Ares that she’s worthy to be his right-hand woman, and Ares merges Xena and Gabrielle’s bodies to fight her., Mavicam (Jenya Lano), the top warrior and current lover of Ares (Kevin Smith), is anxious to prove worthy of being the War God’s second-in-command. Obligingly, Ares sends Xena (Lucy Lawless) and Gabrielle (Renee O’Connor) into another realm, there to engage in mortal combat with Mavicam.
