“Pulkit Samrat” started a new trend for men by preparing the first dessert at his in-laws
Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda tied the knot this year on March 15th, after being in a relationship for 5 years. The duo had their dream wedding in ITC Grand Bharat, located at Delhi NCR. Kriti and Pulkit brought some uniqueness into their wedding, keeping the tradition intact. Pulkit chose a pastel green shaded sherwani, a very uncommon colour choice for a groom’s wedding attire; and he had Gayatri Mantra printed in his dress.
For the Haldi ceremony, both the bride and groom opted for multani mitti (fuller’s earth, widely used in Indian cosmetics) instead of turmeric paste. The most interesting part is when Pulkit broke all the barriers of gender biasness by making his first dessert (Pulkit made halwa) at his in-laws and set a new trend for the newly wedded husbands.
Kriti got emotional and took to social media handle to share this special moment stating that she has got the sweetest results after a long wait. She also stated him as a green flag. This is what she wrote about Pulkit.

Ok so something major happened yesterday and I fell in love all over again. I didn’t think this was possible, but yet, It happened 🙂
Pulkit ki pehli rasoi happened yesterday. I walked into the kitchen and realised he’s making halwa. I asked him what he was doing, and he casually responded, “halwa bana raha hoon, it’s my pehli rasoi.” I giggled and told him, pehli rasoi ladki ki hoti hai baby. To which his response was, “that’s so silly, we’ve both decided to share equal responsibility in this relationship. You cooked for our family back home in Delhi, I’ll cook for our family here in bangalore. Simple!”
He used the word simple. Yes. So casually he changed everything around and used the word simple. And in all honesty it was.
