R Madhavan’s Insight on Cult Films: What Makes Them Tick in Re-releases?

A film becomes a hit only with good actors.
R Madhavan recently talked about the success and failure of films. The actor says that even a blockbuster promotion will not work in favor of a film, if it does not have good actors. It does not matter how big or small the film is, only the acting of the actors matters.
Talking to PTI, Madhavan says, “If your film does not have actors who can get into the skin of their characters and deliver their dialogues well, then the audience will not watch your film.” He adds, “It is true that mass entertainers, especially South Indian films, are earning big at the box office. But many films have done good box office collections even without big stars.”
