R Madhavan: The actor revealed the truth
Recently, there were reports that R Madhavan has been roped in to play the villain in ‘Benz’ directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan and starring Raghav Lawrence in the lead role. Now, R Madhavan himself has broken the silence on these reports and revealed the truth. The actor clarified that he is not a part of the much-awaited project of the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe (LCU).

Reports had stated that R Madhavan has been roped in to play the villain in ‘Benz’, who last played grey characters in the films Ayutha Ezhuthu, Nishabdham and Shaitan. Given that all the LCU films connect, fans were excited at the prospect of the actor joining the universe. However, the actor has now denied these reports.

However, R Madhavan shared the report on his X account and clarified that he has not been approached for ‘Benz’. Sharing the post, he wrote, ‘Hey, this is news to me. It sounds equally exciting and I would love to be a part of such a universe. I am surprised by this news, as I have no idea about this.’
Lokesh will not direct ‘Benz’
‘Benz’ is the first LCU film that Lokesh will not direct. However, he has written the story and is also producing the film. The film was announced in April this year and a teaser of Raghav wearing an apron and holding a gun was released on his birthday in October. Lokesh is busy directing Coolie with Rajinikanth. Madhavan will soon star in ‘Test’, ‘Shankara’ and ‘Dhurandhar’.
