Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, a well-known Pakistani musician, was reportedly arrested at Dubai International Airport following a defamation complaint filed by his former manager, Salman Ahmed. Rahat Fateh Ali‘s former manager Ahmed had filed charges against him with Dubai authorities.
However, Rahat Fateh Ali had fired Ahmed a few months prior, resulting in a feud between the two. According to reports, the two have launched legal cases against one another.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, a Pakistani artist, denied claims that he had been imprisoned in Dubai, saying the rumours were false. He posted a video on X, saying, “I am Rahat Fateh Ali, your Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. I arrived to Dubai to record songs… Everything’s fine. I request that you ignore filthy rumours. These reports are not accurate. You are my strength. My audience and fans are my strength. After all, my fans are my power. The video’s description read, “News circulating regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is fake and baseless. Regards, Team RFAK.”
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had already sparked controversy. He faced criticism after a video of him punching Naveed Hasnain went popular on social media. He also clarified the situation after netizens mocked him. He has performed several such songs during his career, including Tu Bichhdan, Teri Aor, O Re Piya, Teri Meri, Tum Jo Aaye, and Tere Mast Mast Do Nain.
