He also praised the staff, producers, and actors on their efforts to create this stunning picture. He also stated that he looks forward to the second installment of Kalki 2898 AD.
Apart from Rajinikanth, many other notable stars, like Nani, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Vijay Deverakonda, and others, lauded Kalki 2898 AD. Nagarjuna claimed that director Nag Ashwin transported all cinemagoers to another period and place. Chiranjeevi described Nag Aswhin as a ‘creative genius’.
Kalki 2898 AD had an excellent opening day at the box office. In India, it earned more than Rs 80 crore. The Telugu version performed exceptionally well. Even the Hindi version of the film is doing extremely well at the box office.
