Ram Charan is also the guest of honour at the 15th Indian Film Festival in Melbourne. It will be place in August of this year.
This year’s 15th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) will feature Ram Charan as its guest of honour. The Victorian State Government hosts the festival yearly, which will take place from August 15 to August 25 this year. Ram Charan will also receive an award from the festival for his contributions to Indian cinema.
IFFM’s main social media page revealed the news on X, stating, “Are you excited or ARE YOU EXCITED? Ram Charan, a global star, will attend the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in 2024. Are you ready to dance to Naatu Naatu?”
At the film festival, he will be named Ambassador for Indian Art and Culture in recognition of his contributions to Indian cinema. The festival will also feature a retrospective of some of his most memorable films to commemorate his career in the film industry.
Ram Charan stated his enthusiasm for attending the festival in a press release distributed by his staff. He stated, “I am deeply honoured to be a part of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, which celebrates the diversity and richness of Indian cinema on a global scale.” It’s an honour to represent our film business and communicate with fans and cinephiles all across the world.
Ram Charan most recently appeared in SS Rajamouli’s hugely successful film RRR. The film’s music “Naatu Naatu” won both a Golden Globe and an Oscar. Speaking about it, he said, “The success of RRR and the love it received around the world has been overwhelming, and I am thrilled to share this moment with the audience in Melbourne.” I am excited about the possibility to hoist our national flag in Melbourne.”
Ram Charan will soon appear in Shankar’s Game Changer alongside Kiara Advani. In addition to working with Sukumar, he will collaborate with Buchi Babu Sana and Janhvi Kapoor on a project.
