Ramesh Taurani addressed the subject of escalating celebrity fees and entourages. He has recently released Ishq Vishk Rebound.
Ramesh Taurani has produced and distributed numerous legendary Bollywood films. The Tips Industries co-owner recently discussed the growing issues of entourage costs in Bollywood. In an interview, Ramesh Taurani disclosed that Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan share profits in order to address the issue of escalating star fees.
The producer of Ishq Vishk Rebound stated, “Filmmaking is ultimately a business.” When I make a film and contract a star, I have to consider his fee and entourage expenses. I proceed by factoring everything, and if I believe it is too high, I contact them and negotiate. It is then up to me to negotiate, and if I believe the agreed-upon amount is feasible and the project is viable, I will proceed; otherwise, I will not. Nobody makes a film without thinking about this.”
Ramesh Taurani went on to say, “So, there is an entourage cost, but the main issue is the celebrity charge. It is true that they charge a big fee, but many stars today are concerned about recoveries and business, so they come in on the backend and agree to profit sharing. Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan do this. We collaborated on Race 3 with Salman, and everything was done in partnership. Today, all of the biggest stars do this. So, if the entourage’s cost rises, it will be removed from their portion. It’s a superior business model.

The producing pair recently supported Merry Christmas (2024) and Ishq Vishk Rebound (2024).
