Ramoji Rao, the renowned founder of Ramoji film city, passes away at the age of 87. Numerous well-known people sent their sympathies, including PM Narendra Modi.
Veteran media figure and head of the Ramoji Group Ramoji Rao passed away on Saturday in a hospital in Hyderabad at the age of 87. Ramoji Rao was recalled by a number of celebrities, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on social media, expressing his deep sadness over Shri Ramoji Rao Garu’s demise. “He was a visionary who transformed Indian journalism. His significant contributions to journalism and the film industry have had a lasting impact. He raised the bar for creativity and excellence in the media and entertainment industries with his remarkable efforts. Ramoji Rao Garu has a strong commitment to the advancement of India. I’m lucky to have had multiple chances to speak with him and absorb his knowledge. Sending my sympathies during this trying time to his family, friends, and numerous admirers. Om Shanti.”
The famous Telugu actor Chiranjeevi commented on X, “Ramoji Rao was like a mountain ‘that never bowed down to anyone.'”

Ramoji Rao left behind a son and a wife. On June 5, he was brought to a Hyderabad hospital because of respiratory issues. The mortal remains were moved to the renowned Ramoji Film City, to his resindeve.
