Bollywood-renowned director Nitesh Tiwari is making a trilogy on the Indian epic Ramayan. The director is known for the blockbuster movie Dangal.
The upcoming movie Ramayan will feature Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. The dancing queen, Sai Pallavi, will be seen as Sita. And PAN India star Yash will play the antagonist, Ravana.
Bollywood Macho star Sunny Deol will be seen as Lord Hanuman. Beautiful Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanaka and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi. The casting for Lakshman’s role is yet to be completed.
The team has chosen the birth anniversary of Lord Ram for the official announcement of the movie. The movie will formally be announced on the auspicious day of Shri Ram Navami, April 17, 2024.
Director Nitesh Tiwari will commence shooting in Mumbai this month, and the formal announcement will be coming out in the month of April.
The first part of the trilogy project is planned to come out during the festival of Diwali in 2025.
