Masand was a famous Indian cinema journalist before becoming COO of Dharma Cornerstone, and he had worked with many top stars, including Rekha. Rajeev spoke with the Silsila actress multiple times. However, she once asked him to scrap the entire interview.
During an interview with the Shaardulogy YouTube channel, Rajeev Masand disclosed that he once interviewed Rekha. After the interview, the experienced actress informed him that she no longer wanted to perform it and demanded that it be scrapped. According to the former journalist, the Krrish actress rarely does interviews, but she has done a couple with him. The interview is still hanging around, and she promised him that they will do it again.
Furthermore, Rajeev Masand defended Rekha’s desire to cancel their interview. He claimed that these people are seeking perfection and greatness. The Umrao Jaan actress rarely gives interviews. Masand stated, “If you don’t like the way you appear or sound, I understand your desire to be in charge. “They are all striving for perfection.”

Rekha‘s most recent film appearance was in the 2014 flick Super Nani. Following that, she appeared in two films, Shamitabh (2015) and Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se (2018). Her last appearance on screen was six years ago.
