Sholay will be remade! Whose character will Salman Khan play : Jai, Veeru or Gabbar?
Recently, Bollywood’s Dabangg Salman Khan has expressed his desire to work in the remake of Sholay, not only this, he has also decided what his character will be in the film.
The cult film ‘Sholay‘, released on 15 August 1975, is one of the memorable films of Hindi cinema. In that film, the characters from Basanti to Jai-Veeru and Gabbar have left their mark on the hearts of the people. The screenplay of this movie was written by Salman Khan‘s father Salim and his long time partner Javed Akhtar.
Actually, a few days ago, Prime Video had posted a video on its YouTube account, which was hosted by Farah Khan. During this time, apart from ‘original entry young’ man Salim-Javed, the producers of his documentary Salman Khan-Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar were also present at the round table.
During the conversation, when Farah asked Salman Khan which of Salim-Javed’s films he would like to remake, the Tiger actor replied with gusto and said,
“I would like to remake Sholay and Deewaar”. After listening to him, Farah Khan asked, would you like to become Jai or Veeru, then Zoya-Farhan sitting nearby said, ‘He will become only Veeru’, but Salman replied, “I can become both Jai and Veeru, I can also play the role of Gabbar.
As soon as Salman Khan asked to play the role of Gabbar, his father told that at that time even the actors of the film wanted to play the role of Gabbar.
