In a recent interview with Zoom, Bhushan Kumar, the producer of “Animal,” shed light on Vanga’s sentiments towards the online reactions. Kumar revealed that while he is fine with the memes, Vanga tends to react excessively to the criticism. However, Kumar emphasized that the attention, whether positive or negative, has only benefited the film, which has grossed over ₹900 crores worldwide and has become a cult favorite.
“Animal” faced backlash for its portrayal of misogyny. In a previous interview with Galatta Plus, Vanga dismissed the criticism, stating that only a few individuals were fixated on the alleged misogyny, labeling them as “jokers.”
The film revolves around a complex father-son relationship, with Ranbir Kapoor portraying the character of Rannvijay Singh seeking vengeance after his father survives an assassination attempt. Alongside Kapoor, the star-studded cast includes Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. Excitingly, a sequel titled “Animal Park” is currently in development.
