Khudaya provides insight into the relationship between Akshay Kumar and Radhikka Madan’s characters as they encounter a major disagreement. Sarfira reaches cinemas on July 12.
Akshay Kumar is preparing to release Sarfira, a remake of Suriya’s film Soorarai Pottru. The makers have now unveiled the second single from the film’s audio album, titled Khudaya, a beautiful Sufi track. The song, which features Akshay Kumar and Radhikka, was sung by Sagar Bhatia, Neeti Mohan, and Suhit Abhyankar.
Khudaya opens with a heated dispute between Akshay Kumar and Radhikka‘s characters, who play a middle-class couple in the film. Akshay Kumar questions why she is remaining with him if she is embarrassed by him. The day ends, and he realises she is not in the house. He proceeds downstairs, where there is a mehfil with the singers performing the song Khudaya.
Akshay Kumar then searches for Radhikka around the city, visiting local cafes and railway stations, but in vain. He finally gets home and finds her sitting alone on the floor. He runs towards her, and they exchange an impassioned embrace.
Khudaya is the album’s second tune, following Maar Udi. Akshay Kumar captioned the song, “For the love that stands by every Sarfira…”. Suhit Abhyankar composed Khudaya, while Manoj Muntashir Shukla penned the lyrics. Fans responded positively to the song upon its release.
Sarfira follows the journey of Akshay Kumar‘s character from debt-ridden origins to visionary business, as he overcomes numerous challenges with resilience and inventiveness. The film, which also stars Seema Biswas, will be released on July 12.
