Sarfira, starring Akshay Kumar, and Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, will collide in cinemas today. Here’s the winner, based on Twitter reviews.

Today, July 12, moviegoers can select between two fascinating films: Akshay Kumar‘s Sarfira and Kamal Haasan‘s Indian 2. Fans were excited for both of these releases, which have excellent star casts. The first is a remake, and the second is a sequel. But which film emerged as the clear winner today, passing the Twitter review test?
Every Friday brings a new release. However, multiple film releases can sometimes lead to a clash, with audience reviews eventually deciding who wins. Akshay Kumar‘s Sarfira won hearts, but Kamal’s Indian 2 failed to impress.

Many admirers have praised Sarfira‘s career-best performance, hailing it as a return for the star. For example, a happy moviegoer wrote, “#SarfiraReview: A must-see. @akshaykumar flies high with this one with his top-tier performance (3.5/5). Please…. Ek baar dekho ye movie….. aapko ye movie rulaegi, hasaegi one of the best films in #AkshayKumar career”.

Whereas another Twitter review wrote: “#Sarfira Brings back ‘Actor’ @akshaykumar to the screen with a bang. This is more than just another true story; it is a reminder to keep going in life, no matter what. A perfect combination of emotion, drama, and love. “Definitely watch this weekend.”

Indian 2, starring Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh, is the sequel to Shankar and Kamal Haasan‘s 1966 film Indian. However, instead of a sequel, internet fans believe the vigilante action movie is a satire. A disgruntled fan tweeted, “Overall a Shankar movie spoof. I expected this to be Shankar sir’s comeback, but I believe he should stop now. Enthiran ran with 2.0, and now Indian is running with #Indian2. Please leave the other BBs. Aside from the technical problems and dull parts, this film feels like a one-hour movie stretched into three hours. With the poorest audio mixing. SCAM. Lyca could save money by dropping #Indian3 – Thembu illainga. Kamal sir did not deserve this. Bring back Vikram and Loki.”

Sarfira is a unique movie because it represents Akshay Kumar‘s 150th film as the lead. While his admirers throng to theatres to see the Sudha Kongara-directed film, the celebrity is at home relaxing. This morning, Akshay Kumar tested positive with COVID-19 and is now in isolation.
