Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding featured dance performances by Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif.
The wedding of businessman Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant was a star-studded celebration in Mumbai on Friday. Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Mahesh Babu, and Namrata Shirodkar were spotted partying together.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Vicky, Ranbir, Kriti, Arjun, Alia, Katrina, Shah Rukh Khan, and his wife Gauri Khan form a circle and dance. The video begins with Shah Rukh Khan‘s popular song Chaiyya Chaiyya fading off. Shah Rukh, who was on his knees performing the legendary hook dance from Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se (1998) while Vicky clapped, stands up as the song ends.
Seconds after, Vicky’s new viral song, Tauba Tauba, from his upcoming comedy Bad Newz, begins. Vicky smiles as Katrina brightens up and looks at him. She can also be seen conversing with Alia as the two actors leave the dance floor. Ranbir then does the popular Tauba Tauba hook step with Vicky.
Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, actor-wife Namrata Shirodkar, and their 11-year-old daughter Sitara joined the group. Namrata hugged and greeted Shah Rukh and Alia, while Mahesh embraced Ranbir. Sitara also welcomed everyone politely, including Alia Bhatt, with whom she had a popular photo from when she was five years old.
It was an unusual mix because Shah Rukh Khan previously appeared alongside Vicky in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki last year, Ranbir in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), Alia in Dear Zindagi (2016), and Katrina in Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) and Zero (2018). Ranbir’s ex, Katrina, is now married to Vicky. Ranbir, Vicky, and Alia will soon rejoin in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant‘s wedding took place in Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre. Their celebrations will continue with ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ on July 13 and ‘Mangal Utsav,’ or the wedding reception, on July 14.
