The thriller fantasy series, Shahmaran Season 2, is an adaptation of Emine Buzkan’s book, Sah-i Mar: Sahmaranin Cocuklari.
Shahmaran is a Turkish thriller series that stars Burak Deniz and Serenay Sarikaya in main roles. After a successful first season, the second season will premiere on OTT in August 2024. Pinar Bulut wrote the series, while Umur Turagay directed it.
The forthcoming adventure series Shahmaran will premiere on Netflix on August 8, 2024. The streaming site published the series’ trailer on X with the remark, “Love and revenge will change the cycle of the universe forever.” Season 2 of Sahmaran will premiere exclusively on Netflix on August 8.
The series follows Sahsu, a lonely young woman who travels to Adana for employment, but becomes entangled in a group that believes in and worships a mythical monster known as Sahmaran. Her life changes when she meets Maran, a handsome and mysterious man, and falls in love with him. However, she later realises that Maran is not human; rather, he is Sahmaran. After some time, she accepts Maran’s explanation that they have been selected by God to bring peace and harmony between humans and Basilisks (the realm of snakes). What happens when Lilith enters the human realm and threatens to destroy humanity?
Serenay Sarikaya, Burak Deniz, Mahir Gunsiray, Mustafa Ugurlu, Mert Ramazan Demir, Nil Sude Albayrak, Nilay Erdonmez, and Hakan Karahan star in the science fiction series. The thriller fantasy series is based on Emine Buzkan’s novel, Sah-i Mar- Sahmaranin Cocuklari. The series’ producers are Tamer Basaran and Suzan Guverte.
