Shahrukh Khan: Why Abhijeet Bhattacharya stopped singing for the actor
Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya is in the news these days. He expressed his displeasure over Dua Lipa’s concert in Mumbai. In fact, recently the international singer was in Mumbai for a music program and she made everyone happy by performing on ‘Levitating x Woh Ladki Jo’ on stage. This song is from Shah Rukh Khan‘s movie Baadshah which is sung by Abhijeet Bhattacharya. After this, this song is again on the lips of the people.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya got upset that he was not given credit but it was termed as Shah Rukh Khan’s song. At the same time, news of rift between the two started coming for a time. Now Abhijeet has spoken on this.
Abhijeet did not get credit
In the 90s, Abhijeet Bhattacharya sang many songs that became iconic. During this time, he sang many songs for Shah Rukh. Now talking about this, Abhijeet said that he does not expect anything from the superstar. He told that he did not get credit for his work due to which his self-respect was hurt.
While talking to ANI, he said that his songs made Shah Rukh a star, but he never got credit for it. Now it does not matter to him whether he sings for Shah Rukh or not. He also said, “When self-respect is hurt, the heart says enough.”
The singer further said, ‘When I saw that the person serving tea on the set was being respected but not the singer, then I thought why should I become your voice?’
We Both Have Ego : Abhijeet
When asked about resolving the rift, he said, ‘Shahrukh Khan is such a big star now that he is no longer just a human being. He is 60 years old, I am also over 60. There was no need for anyone to apologize. We both have egos.’
