Shalini Pandey got a different identity from the film “Arjun Reddy” which came in 2017 but now she is moving forward with new and strong characters. Recently a web series Dabba Cartel has been released in which Shalini has received a lot of love. She considers it as her dream come true.

She says that her mother has a big hand in becoming a part of this project because when I was entering the industry, my mother always used to say that I should get a chance to work with Amitabh Bachchan and Shabana Azmi, this has fulfilled my mother’s dream and her prayer.

In this film, she has shared the screen with many strong women. I feel freedom in this film.

Pandey made her debut in 2017 with the Telugu film Arjun Reddy. People called her character weak but Shalini has spoken openly on this. I did the film with honesty and confidence, played the character with great innocence at that time.

But I have improved myself a lot and now I want to do something different. I keep looking for projects that challenge me and help me hone my acting skills. I don’t want to be known only as a romantic actress but I want to be able to perform all kinds of roles.
