Love in Vietnam : Renowned actor and dancer Shantanu Maheshwari recently made headlines at the prestigious 77th Cannes Film Festival with the announcement of his upcoming international film venture, ‘Love in Vietnam’.
The first-look poster of the film, also starring Avneet Kaur and Vietnamese actor Kha Ngan, was revealed at the illustrious event, marking a significant moment in the collaboration between the Indian and Vietnamese entertainment industries.
Directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi, ‘Love in Vietnam’ marks the debut collaboration between Shantanu Maheshwari and Avneet Kaur, supported by an ensemble cast that includes Vietnamese talent Kha Ngan. The film adaptation of the bestseller ‘Madonna in a Fur Coat’ promises to captivate audiences with its unique narrative and cross-cultural appeal.
Expressing his excitement, Shantanu Maheshwari took to Instagram to share the first-look posters, stating, “Thrilled to unveil the first look of our film #LoveInVietnam at Cannes! I’m excited to finally be able to share this, our groundbreaking India-Vietnam collaboration.”
Behind the scenes, the film is helmed by director-turned-producer Omung Kumar, alongside director-producer Rahhat Shah Kazmi, internationally acclaimed festival curator Captain Rahul Bali, and Abhishek Ankur. The collaboration has been further bolstered by the support of the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Mumbai, and Vietnam Airlines.
While making waves on the international stage with ‘Love in Vietnam‘, Shantanu Maheshwari has also been making strides in the Indian entertainment industry. His recent projects include the Netflix vampire drama ‘Tooth Pari: When Love Bites’, where he showcased his versatility as an actor. Additionally, he featured in the highly anticipated film ‘Gangubai Kathiwadi’ alongside Alia Bhatt, directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
