Shraddha Kapoor once turned down a film with Salman Khan?

Shraddha Kapoor is enjoying the success of Stree 2. But did you know she was originally given a role alongside Salman Khan?

Stree 2, featuring Shraddha Kapoor, is now generating a lot of hype in theatres. Amar Kaushik’s film is a sequel to their 2018 mega hit Stree, which also stars Rajkummar Rao. Shraddha began her cinematic career with 2010’s Teen Patti, and her performance in Aashiqui 2 wowed critics and audiences alike, cementing her status as a beloved actor. Did you know, however, that Shraddha previously offered a film starring Salman Khan?

Shraddha Kapoor revealed that she was approached about playing the lead in the 2005 film Lucky: No Time for Love, but Sneha Ullal was cast instead. Shraddha previously told in an interview that she was only 16 years old when she was offered the role alongside Salman Khan. It’s the same film that, despite its failure, made Sneha famous, thanks to her likeness to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. So why did Kapoor decline the offer?

Shraddha Kapoor claimed that she rejected down the role opposite Salman Khan to focus on her education. Kapoor had always wanted to be an actor, but she declined the role because she wanted to finish high school and college first. The ABCD 2 actress also believed she was too young when she was fifteen or sixteen years old. Shraddha also acknowledged the difficulties of declining the opportunity to collaborate with Salman and said that accepting offers at such a young age was not a measure of her success.
