Sikandar: Salman Khan and Prateik Babbar finished the first schedule of shooting in Mumbai

The next Sikandar filming schedule is set for August, with AR Murugadoss’ crew meticulously planning to use the monsoon season for set construction.

The first schedule of Sikandar‘s shooting in Mumbai is slated to conclude today. The filming culminates in a dramatic action sequence starring Salman Khan at the Taj Lands End in Bandra. According to a source, Salman Khan will film a vital action scene with actor Prateik Babbar at the Chitrakoot Grounds, which would feature a jet and a specially designed outdoor set.

After completing the action set-piece at Taj Lands End on Monday, the team will take a one-and-a-half-month hiatus to allow for the construction of a new set at the SRPF Ground in Goregaon, which is projected to take approximately 45 days. The next filming schedule is set for August, with AR Murugadoss‘ team meticulously planning to use the monsoon season to build sets. This forthcoming plan will include 40 days of filming action sequences and scenarios with a large crowd.

In June, Salman Khan released the first shot from the film’s set, which soon went viral. Fans were pleased and poured admiration on the actor, eagerly anticipating the release. Rashmika Mandanna will play the protagonist in Sikandar, which is set to be released during Eid 2025. Salman Khan took to Instagram to share a photo of himself smiling while looking at a computer. “I’m looking forward to #Eid2025 with team #Sikandar from #SajidNadiadwala. Directed by AR Murugadoss. The caption said, “Releasing in cinemas on EID 2025.”

AR Murugadoss is currently working on many projects, including an action film titled SK23, which stars Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan. To facilitate a smooth transition to working on Sikandar, he intends to finish a major amount of SK23 ahead of schedule.

Sikandar marks AR Murugadoss‘ much awaited return to Hindi film after an eight-year sabbatical since Akira (2016). This film also reunites Salman Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who have previously collaborated on blockbusters such as Kick, Judwaa, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
