Following Arshad Warsi’s comments on Prabhas, a video of SS Rajamouli’s remarks on Hrithik Roshan has gone viral.
SS Rajamouli Viral Video: In a recent interview, Arshad Warsi discussed the film Kalki 2898 AD, stating that he was not too impressed with it. He criticised Prabhas‘ performance, referring to him as a “joker.” However, Arshad praised Amitabh Bachchan‘s portrayal of Ashwatthama, citing it as a highlight of the film. Arshad’s comments on Prabhas have gone viral on social media, igniting a heated debate. Many Baahubali fans have expressed their unhappiness with the actor’s words. During the ongoing controversy, an old video featuring filmmaker SS Rajamouli resurfaced online, adding fuel to the Bollywood vs. South debate.
In the video, which dates back to the 2007 promotional campaign for Prabhas’ film Billa, SS Rajamouli compares Hrithik Roshan with Prabhas. He stated that when Dhoom 2 was out in 2006, he felt dismayed by the high quality of Bollywood films and asked why Telugu cinema lacked heroes like Hrithik. However, after watching the song, poster, and teaser of Billa, Rajamouli declared that Hrithik Roshan was no match for Prabhas, claiming that Telugu cinema had much improved and was now on level with Bollywood and even English films.
An X user published the video online, which elicited strong emotions. The user captioned the video, “@ssrajamouli. If you can blabber total gibberish, then #ArshadWarsi is perfectly justifiable! P.S. #HrithikRoshan outperforms #Prabhas in terms of acting, dance, physicality, and screen presence. Hrithik, the actor, cannot be compared to Prabhas, the pretender.”
Since 2007, the relationship between Telugu and Bollywood stars has evolved dramatically. In reality, Rajamouli worked with Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn on his film RRR in 2022. The film had Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the major roles. Furthermore, NTR is poised to make his Bollywood debut in Ayan Mukerji’s War 2, in which he will act with Hrithik Roshan.
