It will be released on Netflix on 12 April 2024.

The film adaptation portrays a young woman’s struggle to protect her indigenous heritage in a world where xenophobia is on the rise, climate change threatens reindeer husbandry, and young people choose suicide out of collective despair.

But the story also highlights the tensions that arise when modern ideas come up against traditional culture with deeply rooted patriarchal structures.

The cast includes Elin Christina Oskal, Martin Wallström, Lars-Ante Vasara, Ida Persson Labba, Pävva Pitja, Ingahilda Tapio, Magnus Kuhmunen, Simon Issat Marainen, Nilla Omma and Anne Lajla Vesterfjell Kalstad, among many others.
