Rajkummar Rao expressed happiness over the success of ‘Stree 2’, said- these numbers are beyond our expectations
Rajkummar Rao is very excited about the success of his recent horror-comedy film ‘Stree 2‘. Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana are in the lead roles along with Rajkumar. This is the sequel to the 2018 hit film ‘Stree’.
The film has grossed Rs 386.15 crore at the Indian box office in 11 days of its release. ‘Stree 2’, directed by Amar Kaushik, is also making many new records. Recently Rajkummar Rao has talked about the success of the film.
The actor said, ‘We were sure that the film will get a lot of love because of the love that Stree 1 has received. Stree has a huge fan following. Me too is included in this, I myself am a big fan of Stree. But this number is much more than our expectations. We are happy and very excited. We are very grateful that this has happened with a film like Stree, because it is a content driven film.’
He has played many types of roles in films. Rajkummar Rao said about this, ‘I try to choose different characters. People should not say that Raj only does a particular type of cinema. I want to do comedy, drama, biopics, horror-comedy, action, everything. I do not want to limit myself to any one category.’
