Superman: Christopher Reeve Story : The New Documentary Chronicles His Inspiring Journey
The personal life of actor Christopher Reeve, who saved the world by playing the superhero Superman on screen, has been full of pain, but like any superhero, he faced every challenge. Despite spending a large part of his life in a wheelchair, Christopher stood firm like a rock.
Apart from the films and Superman’s fame, Warner Brothers has made a documentary film on this aspect of Reeve‘s life, which is being released in theaters. The trailer of this documentary was released on Monday.
Reeve’s life after the accident :
The trailer features highlights from Reeve’s Superman films, including his recovery from the accident, time spent with his family, and his time as a philanthropist. Interviews with his son and daughter reveal that Reeve is indeed no less than a superman. The trailer also highlights his wife’s dedication and struggle.
What happened to Reeve in 1995? :
During a competition in 1995, Christopher Reeve’s horse suddenly stopped while crossing the third obstacle, causing Kiev to jump and fall forward. The horse’s reins remained in his hands and got stuck in his hands. Due to falling on his head, Christopher Reeve’s neck bones (First and Second Vertebrae), on which the head rests, were broken.
His breathing stopped due to spinal cord injury. It took about 3 minutes for the paramedics to arrive. He first tried to supply air to Reeve‘s lungs. Reeve regained consciousness five days later. Doctors told him that his spinal cord was completely damaged and he would be able to breathe only through a ventilator.
