Taapsee Pannu said they stand with her in difficult times
Taapsee Pannu said that the artists coming from outside to Bollywood have become accustomed to struggling and getting ahead of each other. They respect each other and also message each other after watching movies. But one thing is missing in the artists coming from outside.
The debate on nepotism that started many years ago in Bollywood is still going on. Actress Taapsee Pannu has now added an interesting point to this debate about insiders and outsiders in the industry. Hailing from Delhi, Taapsee started her acting career without any godfather and came to Bollywood via South.
Today she is one of the popular leading actresses of the industry. Taapsee is very proud of being an ‘outsider’ in the Bollywood industry and perhaps that is why some time ago when she opened her own production house, she named it ‘Outsider Films’. Now Taapsee has said that she has learnt something from the so called nepo-kids of the industry, i.e. stars who come from families already connected with the film industry.
She said, ‘My opinion is very different from others. People who already have someone in the industry, the so called ‘nepotism’ people or those who are said to have come through nepotism, I have learnt one good thing from them that how to live together, how to stay united and support each other. Which is not as much in those people as it is in us who have come from outside.’
