In a recent interview, Taapsee Pannu revealed that she and Mathias Boe had been engaged for over nine years before tying the knot earlier this year. Reflecting on their relationship, Taapsee shared a story about their first date, which raised concerns among her friends.
The couple met in Dubai, with Mathias flying in from Denmark. Despite their mutual excitement, Taapsee’s friends were worried she might be walking into a dangerous situation, even warning her about the risks of human trafficking.
However, their fears were unfounded, and the relationship blossomed into a long-term commitment. Taapsee humorously mentioned how she convinced Mathias to retire and work in India before they eventually got married.
Taapsee Pannu also admitted that she initially questioned why Mathias, a Danish athlete, was interested in her, given the cultural differences. This skepticism, coupled with her friends’ concerns, made the situation even more surreal for her.
However, Mathias’ genuine nature quickly dispelled any doubts, leading to a strong, decade-long relationship before they finally married in a private ceremony earlier this year.
