Tabu made an appearance in Farah Khan’s 2007 film Om Shanti Om. She appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the song Deewangi Deewangi.
Tabu has been busy promoting the film her next upcoming movie Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. In a recent interview, the actress was given a still from the song Deewangi Deewangi and recalled working with Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Farah Khan on Om Shanti Om.
Tabu revealed that many people want to see her and Shah Rukh Khan on film together. The actress remarked about her Om Shanti Om cameo, in which she appeared in a red saree in slow motion alongside Shah Rukh in the song Deewangi Deewangi, saying, “Ek shot hum sabne kiya. I did it for Farah, and it was really fun. They created me some amazing outfits, hair, and makeup, and we received really expensive gifts from Shah Rukh Khan.” The song also starred many bollywood celebrities.
The film follows Om, a junior film artist in the 1970s who falls in love with a well-known actor named Shantipriya. However, their love story takes a terrible turn when Om (Shah Rukh Khan) dies while trying to save Shantipriya. He has been reincarnated to revenge their deaths. Deepika Padukone played the part of Shantipriya.
Tabu will next appear in Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. The film also stars Shantanu Maheshwari and Sai Manjarekar as well as her long-time co-star Ajay Devgn, with whom she has acted in numerous films, including Drishyam and Golmaal Again. It is scheduled for theatrical release on July 5, 2024.
