Taha Shah, who recently appeared in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, posted about meeting his ‘lifelong idol’ Hollywood star Tom Cruise. Taha Shah took to Instagram on Wednesday, posting a photo and a video of himself spending time with Tom.
In a photograph, they both grinned as they strolled beside each other. Taha Shah was seen wearing a black shirt and a grey blazer. Tom Cruise wore a white t-shirt. In the video, Tom wraps his arm around Taha Shah while they talk. Taha captioned the photo, “Pinch me! I just met my lifelong idol. The one and only Tom Cruise, @tomcruise.”
Taha Shah last appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Taha has previously shared his experience working with Bhansali, saying, “Tajdar is a remarkable character, embodying nobility, kindness, and unwavering determination. It’s been an honour to portray him. I am extremely grateful to Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir for entrusting me with this great chance in Heeramandi. Working with such a talented stellar cast has been a fantastic learning experience and honour. I believe Tajdar’s story of love and patriotism will strike a deep chord with moviegoers.”
The series also features Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Adhyayan Suman and Farida Jalal. Set against the backdrop of India’s war for independence in the 1940s, the drama delves into the lives of courtesans and their patrons, as well as the cultural dynamics of Heeramandi.
