The story of the movie revolves around a teenage girl named Mia. She had lost her mother, Rhea. Her mother died of an overdose of medicine. She misses her mother a lot.
After the death of her mother Mia becomes affectionate towards her father, Max. She now likes to spend her time with him. Mia has a deep bond of friendship with Jade. Mia also develops a close relationship with Jade’s fifteen-year-old brother, Riley, and her mother, Sue.
One night, Mia, Jade, and Riley go to a party hosted by their friends Hayley and Joss. There they meet Jade’s boyfriend and former Mia’s crush, Daniel.
The group of teenage friends figured out a new way to contact the dead as a thrill-seeking new challenge. There is a lit candle to guide the spirit. A person is tied to the chair and shall hold the hand. He should say “talk to me” and then say “I let you in” to enable the spirit to possess his or her body. The most important thing is that the connection be interrupted before ninety seconds.
Mia volunteers for the experiment. She gets excited by the experience and decides to repeat it at Sue’s home. However, this time the period of ninety seconds has been exceeded. The experiment leads to tragic consequences for Riley. And Mia is haunted by the spirit of her mother, who guides her. Or is she lured by an evil spirit?
