The Daughter is a short film that shows the deep emotional relationship between a father and daughter.
The movie follows a young woman named Indu. Indu is very affectionate with her father. Her father is living the last days of his life and he wants to get his last wish fulfilled. Indu can do anything for her father. And to fulfil his last wish, she goes through a journey full of struggle. While doing so, she gets caught in an Indian town that is under curfew. Will she successfully fulfill her father’s last wish?
Actors Naseeruddin Shah, Ira Dubey, Jitendra Shastri, and Chitrangada Singh are playing key roles in the short movie.
The screenplay and direction of the movie are done by Soumyak Kanti DeBiswas, and the movie is co-produced by Ira Dubey and Zico Maitra.
The movie is streaming at the JioCinema Film Fest.
