Season 2 of Kapil Sharma’s comedy series The Great Indian Kapil Show, which stars Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Archana Puran Singh, will return.
The Great Indian Kapil Show, Kapil Sharma‘s weekly comedy series on Netflix India, has been extended for a second season. After airing for more than 12 episodes since its March 30 premiere, the show’s finale is scheduled to air this week on June 22.
The official Netflix India social media accounts posted a video showcasing the best moments from The Great Indian Kapil Show‘s first season on Monday. It opens with Kapil Sharma announcing the show’s cancellation during the first season finale, followed by the cast members’ emotional responses. Then, it was revealed that season 2 of the show would be “coming sooner than you think.”
The caption says, “Entertainment ki baarish hogi do-bara, kyunki The Great Indian Kapil Show ka Season 2 aayega bas kuch hi mahino mein! Aur naye season ka wait karte hue Season 1 binge karlo! (It will shower entertainment again because The Great Indian Kapil Show’s season 2 will be back in just a few months! Binge season 1 while you wait for the new season!).”
The Great Indian Kapil Show, which has been one of Netflix’s top two shows in India since its debut, is the first Indian series to appear on the Global Top 10 Non-English TV list for five weeks running.
Along with Kapil Sharma, the programme also stars Rajiv Thakur, Krushna Abhishek, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, and Archana Puran Singh. Ranbir Kapoor, his mother Neetu Kapoor, and sister Riddhima Kapoor were special guests at the debut of Season 1.
Stars including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol., Mary Kom, Saina Nehwal, Sania Mirza, Badshah, DIVINE, Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, Imtiaz Ali, Vicky Kaushal, and Aamir Khan, and the cast of Heeramandi participated throughout the season. This Saturday at 8 p.m., the first season finale will air, with Kartik Aaryan as a special guest.
