A inspiring life story of a young boy. Ellis French is a black boy who is gay. His mother doesn’t support him much. He is not welcomed in many places and doesn’t have many options for his career.
He decides to join the Marine Corps. He easily gets enrolled, as he meets all the physical requirements needed to join the corps.
But his sexual orientation leads him to face harassment from his training instructor and a fellow soldier.
He struggles hard to gain support and to maintain his identity in this new community.
The movie is inspired by the life experiences of Elegance Bratton, the director and writer of this movie.
Actors Jeremy Pope is playing the role of Ellis French. Various other roles are performed by Raul Castillo, McCaul Lombardi, Aaron Dominguez, Nicholas Logan, Eman Esfandi, Andrew Kai, Aubery Joseph, Bokeem Woodbine, and Gabrielle Union.
