The documentary movie follows the story of the death of American missionary John Allen Chau.
John Chau was murdered when he tried to illegally contact some of the world’s most isolated Indigenous people. He was shot by an arrow which took his life.
The documentary movie explores very deeply into the life and death of John Chau. And gives the deeper look into the religion and colonialism. Also gives the clear vision of faith and fanaticism.
One of the Chau’s fellow Student Levi Davis, well known historian Adam Goodheart and a former missionary Daniel Everett can be seen in the documentary movies.
The music for the documentary is composed by Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans. The cinematography of the movie is done by Thorsten Thielow. And it is edited by Aaron Wickenden.
The movie is directed by Amanda McBaine and Jesse Moss. Amanda McBaine is a famous director. She is known for creating Boys State and Mayor pete. Jesse Moss is an American documentary filmmakers. He is the creator of a documentary movie The Overnighters. The movie was shortlisted for best documentary feature at the Oscar.
